Set on the northwestern tip of the San Francisco peninsula, Lincoln Park is San Francisco's oldest municipal golf course, established in 1902. A three-hole course laid out by local golfers in 1902 grew to a full 18 holes by 1917, on parkland dedicated to President Abraham Lincoln in 1909.
It is a public course, and anyone can book a tee time. From the fairways you can see the Golden Gate Bridge, the Pacific Ocean, the San Francisco skyline and the Legion of Honor.

Lincoln Park is a city course. It is short, easy to walk and priced like the other municipal courses. It also sits on the cliffs at Lands End, where the 17th looks straight at the Golden Gate Bridge.
Bring your regular foursome, the family, or a friend who has never played. You can warm up on the indoor TrackMan bays first, and the clubhouse bar is usually open for a beer afterward.
Lincoln Park is short and easy to walk. Wind off the ocean, steep ground and small greens are what make it hard.

Greens fees range from $24 to $114. A weekday 18-hole round is $63 for non-residents and $49 with an SF Resident Card; weekend rates are $70 and $55. Juniors start at $24, twilight rounds from $38, and club rentals or a cart are $50 each.
Book online through San Francisco Rec & Park's public or SF resident tee-time systems, or call the pro shop at 415-221-9911. Reservations made 8 or more days in advance carry a $2-per-player booking fee. Lincoln Park doesn't take walk-ons. If the course is quiet the pro shop can put you on the next open tee time, but booking ahead is much safer.
