Documents

What to bring

The City checks that you live in San Francisco, or own property here.

  • A government-issued photo ID

A California driver's license or ID card, or a passport, showing your name and date of birth.

  • Two proofs of residency

From different vendors, each dated within the last 90 days and in your name: a utility bill, bank statement, property tax statement or other recurring bill. A photo ID that shows the same San Francisco address counts as the first.

  • Or proof that you own property here

Owners who pay property tax in San Francisco qualify even if they live elsewhere. Bring the tax receipt or deed with your name on it.

The card and its rules belong to San Francisco Rec & Park, and fees here are the City's as of July 1, 2026. Check the City's page before you apply
